OMPI ROTATING JOINTS

In the typical applications, unions are used for hot or cold fluids working under not very high pressure and rotation speed.  If the fluidi is hot, the suitable union is N type, because its support and seal are made of graphite, if fluid is cold, the appropriate one is U type, equipped with ball bearing and suitable for higher speed too.

	Rotating unions for AIR and VACUUM The rotating unions GIROL series R are designed for air and vacuum and high speed rotation. The seal are made C 45 hardened and ground vs graphite bush for low friction and long lasting. They are self supported on ball bearings. The housing material is made in aluminum. 	UNIVERSAL rotating unions for AIR, WATER and OIL (series U) The rotating union GIROL series U are available with two different balanced sealing:   - graphite vs hardened stainless steel (used only for clean water and air)  - silicon carbide vs silicon carbide (used only for idraulic oil, dirty water, abrasive fluid) They can work at high speed and with pressure up to 50 bars. 	SELF SUPPORTED rotating unions for STEAM , HOT OIL and DIATHERMIC OIL (series NB) The rotating union GIROL series NB are designed for working at temperature up to 316°C and for slow rotation. They are self supported by means of two graphite bearings and can be mounted for working in one or two ways. The seal ring is made of impregnated (resin or antimonium) graphite and work under compression (the compression strength is approx 5 times greater than the corresponding tensile strength). 	TWO INDEPENDENT WAYS rotating unions for AIR, OIL, VACUUM AND OTHERS The GIROL rotating unionS DU series with two independent passages are used to actuate clutches or rotating pistons with air or oil. They are available with two different kind of balanced and microlapped seals: - Seals in graphite on hardened steel for air and vacuum - Seals in silicon carbide on silicon carbide for oil or other fluids. 	SERIES MM - Rotating unions for CONTINUOUS CASTING machines for WATER The GIROL rotating unions MM/MD series have single (MM) or dual passage (MD) and are designed to be mounted inside the cyliders of the continuous casting line. The seals, in silicon carbide, are balanced, lapped and set to withstand the pressure peaks caused by steam bubbles or bumps or different kind. 	SERIES SP - HIGH PRESSURE and LOW SPEED rotating unions for HYDRAULIC OIL, WATER and ABRASIVE FLUID The rotating union GIROL series SP are designed for high pressure (300 bar) and low speed rotation, while they can rotate reasonablily easy under pressure. This unions are used for idraulic oil, water and aggressive fluid (acid also). The manufacturing materials depend on the operating conditions. The standard material for the rotor and the rear adaptor is stainless steel while the housing is made in carbon steel. 	Serie CB: rotating unions for PAPERMILLS (for STEAM and DIATHERMIC OIL, with TWO WAYS and DOUBLE SEAL) The GIROL rotating unions CB series are designed for working with temperatures up to 316°C and for not high speed with rotating syphon. They are self-supported by two bushes made in graphite that act as bearings The seal ring is made of graphite, resin or antimonium impregnated. 	ROTATING UNION TWO PASSAGE HIGH PRESSURE AND LOW ROTATING The GIROL rotating union HD series has two passages and thanks to design of special seals and rotor may operate for long time with no problems, at high pressure and low rotating speed.
